Abstract
In a society in which there is an overvaluation of scientific knowledge and the growing intervention of technology in everyday life, it is not possible to think about the formation of a critical citizen on the margins of scientific knowledge. Showing Science as a knowledge that contributes to the understanding of the world and its transformations, to recognize man as part of the universe and as an individual, is the goal proposed by the Brazilian Journal of Natural Sciences (BJNS).
