Stress | anxiety | Aromatherapy: By the look of Osmology, the science of smell and odor

Abstract
In this brief review, we seek to establish the state of the art on the subject with the definition of stress / anxiety as a response of the organism to the environment through stressors. We analyze the reality of diseases in the world and in Brazil, taking as a perception the reality of people's daily lives. We seek to give understanding to stress as a modulator of the individual's response in the form of impairment of cognition, emotion and behavior. We made proposals for innovative technical actions in the essential oils / aromatherapy specialties and analyzed the data from the essential oils / aromatherapy scientific research that seek to qualify their use in quantity and time dependent for their effectiveness. The procedures used in the present study were: 1. Bibliographic research on the theme in the main databases - Virtual Health Library (VHL); Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), U.S. National Library of Medicine (PubMed). 2. Critical reflection on the material obtained and 3. Elaboration of syntheses on the subject.
