Uso de canabinóides no tratamento de adenocarcinoma pancreático
Main Article Content
Abstract
The cannabinoids are substances of endogenous and exogenous origin which are able to interact with cannabinoids receptors CB1 and CB2, and initiate a lot of biologic answers, due to this they can be used for therapeutic purposes. In cancer these substances are already used widely in palliative treatment, mainly in nauseas and vomits caused by chemotherapy and proved to be an antitumor in the most diverse tumor types, mainly causing their ability to induce celular death without harm to healthy cells. The ductal pancreatic adenocarcinoma is a very invasive tumor and is identified late because of hard diagnosis. The best treatment able to get a survival rate is the surgery however the tumor needs to be in the initial stage and mostly it doesn't happen. It’s necessary to make use of chemotherapy, but causes many collateral effects which cause early interruption due to health state of the patient. Through this many studies have been showing the cannabinoids are effective substances pro-apoptotic and anti-angiogenic in the pancreatic tumor cells, mainly, through the increased production of ceramide and increased stress-regulated p8 protein, either in monotherapy or in combination with chemotherapy. It’s remarkable pancreatic adenocarcinoma show high mortality fees and limitations in diagnostic and treatment, however the cannabinoids have been showing promising besides that their have less collateral effects compared to chemotherapy, this research would like show the main studies performed with cannabinoids in pancreatic tumor cells and characterize some aspects reported such as cannabinoids and the pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
